January 27, 2006:

The cold winter air has settled into Fairbanks once again. This morning temperatures were reported as -51 F (-46 C) at the Fairbanks International Airport. At this temperature a cup of hot water thrown into the air will freeze before it hits the ground. If you don't believe it, check out these videos:
